Kohler Industrial Castings produces three grades of gray iron, three grades of ductile iron, and five grades of austempered ductile iron as standard. Special, nonstandard grades can also be produced at a customer's request.

Gray iron grades are generally specified by tensile strength and Brinell hardness. Ductile iron grades are specified by tensile strength, yield strength and percent elongation.
