 
New Manufacturing Location
A new facility for the production of vitreous china and fiberglass reinforced plastic fixtures is built in Brownwood, Texas. The highly mechanized plant adds substantial capacity to Kohler's vitreous china production.
Iron Melt Facility
To sustain its commitment to cast iron plumbing fixtures, Kohler brings a sophisticated electric induction iron melting facility on line to replace the coke-fired cupolas which had been in continuous use since 1920.

New Material
To expand its reach into new plumbing market segments, Kohler
introduces a line of lightweight, vacuum-formed acrylic fixtures.
The new lavatories and bar sinks are easy to install, and are
impact and stain-resistant.
