[Employee of kohler] I have been using faucet for over ten years. I am surprised so many people have an issue with the design and function. The function of the handle is very smooth, The faucet wipes clean every time I use it. It is a beautiful faucet.

We've had these for 5 years now and regret buying them almost every day. As other reviewers have said the flat top is a very bad design since water always drips off your hands when you turn off the faucet and pools on the top. Worse though is that, either due to the water or crud that builds up under the slide, the lever handle is REALLY hard to work. Seems like being able to easily turn on and off and adjust the temp and volume is job #1 of any faucet, but this one fails miserably.

Very bad design

We have had this faucet for about 3 years now, but for the last year or so most of the when used it leaves water under the round part  around the handle.  Would we need to tighten something or replace a gasket??? Otherwise am satisfied with the faucet

Continual water spots on faucet arm since it lays completely strait horizontal. The water drips from hard washing ,sits on the arm and does not drain off.  The on and off lever handle gets stiff and harder to move as time goes by. The body has turned a tarnished blue color probably from the hot water heat. Lime deposits on the base of handle near impossible to get off. The Kohler company has replaced this item for us , but the new one, about 1 year old, is doing the same. I say try something else. 2 stars only for appearance. Quality is lacking.

Looked great until....

Got the polished chrome. Looked like a million bucks! (when new). 
The shaft became discolored making it a bluish tint in areas. It also has been hard to keep clean due to water droplets sitting on the flat area of the arm(won't drain off) and around the base of handle after using. But the worse problem is the chrome wearing off on the edges of the arm !! Really? As much as this costs!!! And I only used plain water to clean it. No harsh chemicals. Only had it 4 years .
At least Kohler replaced it. Not sure how long before the same problems return.
Maybe a brushed finish would hold up better.
