The Kohler Tone wall-mounted faucet is a beautiful choice for anyone seeking a modern bathroom style—especially if you’re avoiding countertop holes for a deck-mounted faucet. This product checked all the boxes on my list. I love the matte black finish and sleek design.

Installation complexity will vary depending on your home. In my case, the wall behind the drywall was cinder block and inaccessible from the backside, so I had to open a fairly large section of the wall to complete the install. I paused the project once I noticed the trim ring around the handle was damaged. I didn’t want to install it only to have to remove it later for a replacement.

One thing I really appreciate about Kohler is that they provide all the tools you need for installing the handles, securing the valve, and even maintaining the aerator filter—something many other manufacturers don’t include. The faucet also features efficient water usage, which helps reduce water waste and minimizes splashing thanks to its thoughtful aeration design.

I’ve had bad luck with other brands when it comes to black finishes on faucets and showerheads—many tend to chip or show wear prematurely, especially in high-use areas. While I haven’t had this Kohler faucet long enough to fully evaluate its durability, the build quality feels solid and the finish looks well-applied. Most importantly, I trust that if any issues do arise, Kohler will stand behind their product and make it right.

If you’re looking for a stylish, well-made wall-mounted faucet from a reputable brand, I highly recommend this product. Just be aware: this is not a beginner DIY job. Unless you have plumbing experience, I suggest hiring a professional. Fortunately, I’ve installed faucets before, so aside from the wall access issue, it wasn’t too difficult.

Kohler Tone Wall-Mounted Faucet

These are beautiful. I haven't installed it yet but I just love the sophisticated simple design. It's so shiny! They come with simple (enough) instructions and a nicely written up warranty sheet that spells everything out clearly. Kohler really stands behind their products and that instills a lot of confidence. I feel spoiled. Can't wait to install these!

This key is very cute, minimalist, the finish is very nice, it feels very soft to open, it has all the instructions for installation, it comes very complete with all the accessories. Durable material, easy to clean and maintain.

As always, Kohler provides a durable and quality product. This faucet is so modern. It is something new and different, a total statement piece! Water comes out great and installation was easy once everything was in it’s place. This faucet really upgraded our bathroom. I’m so impressed with the finish and quality!

I love the sleek, modern look of the Kohler Tone Wall-Mount Faucet in Matte Black—it really upgrades my bathroom’s style. The wall-mounted design saves space, and the matte black finish stays clean without showing fingerprints or water spots. The handle moves smoothly, making it easy to control the water temperature.  It was very simple and easy to install.  I love it. It’s a great mix of style and function, and I’m really happy with it!
