As a plumber who's been doing it for many years I've worked with a lot of different products. This product in particular was an absolute nightmare. Kohler's instructions are very confusing because it's made for wall mount and ceiling mount applications. It says you need a requirement of 5 gallons per minute of flow. I would never install this with less than 6 gallons per minute of flow. I had splashing issues. I had a terrible time dealing with Kohler tech-support coming up with the solution. Then they told me they would help reimburse me for some of my time I spent into it. The. dragged me around and tell me sorry we're not gonna help you out. 

As a professional plumber, I highly advised to stay away from Kohler whenever possible. They seem to put more into their marketing than other brands and try to be innovative. But if they're going to be innovative they need to help their customers .

I've reached out to several other Plumbing companies, and across the board. I haven't found any plumbers that like working with Kohler product. In fact, most have some sort of story of a terrible experience they had with them.

Save yourself a headache and go buy some Delta or Moen products.

Go buy yourself some Moen or Delta and save the headache.

What Kohler fails to mention in ANY of the product literature is that this filler needs to be connected to a valve with 3/4" supply lines and not 1/2" supply lines for the product to function properly.  And the Kohler rep recommended the valve we installed to use with it (which uses 1/2" supply lines)!!!!  So we now need to rip out a bunch of wall tile to rerun 3/4" lines, swap out the valve to one that will take 3/4" supply lines, and then repair all the tile.  VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT!  PUT THE INFORMATION IN YOUR MANUAL WHAT THIS PRODUCT NEEDS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY.  THIS IS NOW COSTING OUR COMPANY A LOT OF MONEY TO REPLACE AND FIX.
