I bought 2 faucets. Both arrived with faulty coating.

Faucet is good, but coating is bad

Paige S.

I installed this spout in a brand new house and the spout became loose and water leaked back into the wall causing water damage to white oak floors which were nailed and glued to the subfloor. Poor design. And Kohler doesn’t pay for any of the damage caused by the leak except for a replacement parts. As a builder, I have exclusively used Kohler products for all of my new construction projects. This one experience has left a very poor taste.

Poor quality.

Problem with this faucet is when you turn on the water and hit the lever that initiates the shower it causes some pressure in the faucet that pushes it away from the wall. It’s hard to tighten the little screw tight enough the try to make sure the faucet stays on the wall with out striping the screw. I’m on my second faucet. Screw completely stripped again. Can’t keep faucet on the wall. We even went as far as slowly turning on the water slowly then engaged the lever for shower just so the pressure wasn’t so strong. Got about 2 years out of that. What a headache. We did have a professional install this.

Won’t stay in wall

I bought this faucet and loved it. It has been installed 3 months and the black finishes is peeling off! I am very unhappy about it. So much for buying a quality product.

Peeling Finish

Like every other review, mine keeps coming off the wall.

Disaster - keeps coming off the wall

Multiple times in the last 6 months the spout has come away from the wall. I have tightened the set screw multiple times but no success; keeps coming away from wall. The mechanism is also very difficult to move back and forth from spout and the shower head

Like other reviews keeps coming away from wall

I purchased this product for a bath remodel of our upstairs bathroom. The spout became loose from the wall and water ran down the inside of the walls and into our kitchen cabinets. I called CS in August of 24. Was told that they never heard of this problem and that it was probably installed incorrectly. I said that we had another plumber check it and the pipe is the correct length. As i can see here on the review page. It must have been something that the company is aware of. So i was told that they will ship out a replacement, which i still have not received. It a month later. So i just called again and the rep said she has no idea why i didnt receive the part, but its not in stock until January 25????? Said i'll get an email in about a week! What is going on with this part, and with customer service? Can someine please

Disappointed in bath spout and customer service.

Had my bathroom remodeled by a contractor just over a year ago-I have a Kohler Sterling tub/shower combo, Kohler sink and faucet, and Kohler shower hand held and tub spout. I got this tub spout, in black matte for it's looks and to match my Kohler bathroom sink faucet. This tub spout on the is leaking on the underside, where the spout meets the square part that attaches to the shower wall. I am extremely disappointed in this product.I've been a Kohler user for decades. What has happened to the quality of your products?

mine leaks too

Like many others, i purchased this for a remodel I was doing on my home. i picked this faucet package due to the look. The tub spout came away from the wall while we were still in the middle of the remodel and flooded my downstairs closet. Luckily we were doing the remodel in stages and we already had to pull the drywall in the closet to replumb the master shower. We had our plumber come out two more times for this tub spout and then I had another plumber come and install the tub faucet with a replacement from Kohler and it was installed according to the installation instructions exactly. My husband and I are both in construction and we were both there when the second plumber came to fix this tub spout, so we know it was done correctly. Kohler is a great brand and makes some very high quality products. This is NOT one of them. I just paid a lot of money to replumb the bathroom and now I'm going to have another spout with diverter installed that now won't match my brand new bathroom so I don't flood out my home again and ruin my brand new wood floors. This is not a product that should still be for sale and with all of these reviews stating the same thing, it is very frustrating. I wish all of these reviews and this product were pulled a while ago, that way I could have selected a different package line for my bathroom.

Tub Spout will not stay in place
