Used for aprox. 1 year. Single home owner. Center drain opens up EVERY time I am bathing. Today over 1/2 the hot water drained out.  I have alreayd had the drain replaced 1x just several months after using.  One time it was easy to close.  I'm terribly frustrated with this very expenise tub and this horrid drain design.  I have sent a letter to kohler.

Center Drain will NOT stay closed during bath

I’ve had this tub for a year, now.  Not only is it beautiful, it’s wonderfully comfortable, feels noticeably better to the touch than standard acrylic tubs, and water seems to stay warmer longer with it than with its predecessor (an 80s era garden tub).  No problems at all with the toe-tap drain, though I will say that it’s a wider/faster drain which may make it seem somewhat  louder.  Upon delivery, there was a scratch on the rim of mine that I was quite worried about, but I was able to work with Kohler and find an approved repairman who had “Kohler white” and you can’t tell there was ever a problem.  This tub has turned me into a bath person!  I’m a 5’9” female with the 60” tub and it’s a great fit.  However, if I was taller and/or had more space in my bathroom, I would strongly consider the 66”.
