This is, without question, the most disappointing bathtub I have ever purchased, especially considering the premium price.
First, the motor is completely exposed and sits on the floor, making the entire installation look unfinished and cheap. My home is built on a concrete slab, not a house with a crawl space or subfloor, so the motor is fully visible and impossible to hide. For a premium-priced Kohler tub, I was shocked to learn that Kohler doesn't even offer a cover or trim kit to conceal it. This is clearly something that should have been considered in the design, especially since so many homes are built on slabs.

Then there's the motor itself—it's absolutely horrible. When you turn on the bubbles, it sounds like a jet engine starting up. As you increase the power, the bubbles don't become any stronger; the only thing that increases is the deafening, high-pitched noise. When you reduce the power, it sounds like an airplane throttling back after takeoff. It's incredibly loud and completely destroys what should be a relaxing spa experience.

To make matters worse, the tub doesn't perform as advertised. The promotional video shows a different control knob than the one I received, and mine doesn't even illuminate. Kohler advertises 18 different bubble modes, but there is effectively only one. Adjusting the controls does not increase the intensity of the bubbles—it simply makes the motor louder. The bubble pressure never changes.

The heating feature is equally disappointing. It offers three heat settings, yet I cannot tell any difference between them. It does not appear to heat the water or provide any noticeable warmth.

The biggest disappointment of all has been Kohler's customer service. They have been absolutely no help in addressing these issues or providing meaningful solutions.

For the amount of money this tub costs, I expected exceptional quality, thoughtful engineering, and customer service that stands behind the product. Instead, I received a noisy, underperforming bathtub with an exposed motor that looks unfinished in a slab-built home and features that don't work as advertised.

This was very difficult to install and required a great deal of outreach to Kohler. In addition, the bubblemassage motor is located EXTERNALLY, which was not clear when we purchased it and are now trying to find a way to keep water off of it and find a way to make it not look hideous and cheap with a metal motor on the side. Not the freestanding esthetic I think most are looking for with a tub of this type.

Difficult to install and not as pictured

I bought a Kohler heated air bubble massage tub in the recommendation of my builder. After using it for one week my bathroom smells like cat urine. It appears that the tub does not adequately purge all of the water after the bath has drained and bacteria grows. This tub was recommended to me as a sanitary alternative to the old jet tubs. I had an old jet tub and never had a problem. I’m very disappointed with Kohler as I feel that they are deceiving customers. I now have to provide “maintenance” in the form of a mix of vinegar and baking soda to erase the smell. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SANITARY TUB AND EXACTLY NOT WHAT IT IS PROVING TO BE
