My husband and I purchased this bathtub for a bathroom remodel; however, the installation guide fails to address the installation of the front since this alcove model has a large flange on the front. The lip/flange is not large enough for a 2" x 4" to fit for framing and the installation guide did not provide instructions for this area.

We even contacted Kohler's Product Support team and spoke with Paige. We hoped, based on the description of this team on Kohler's website, that they would be able to answer questions regarding the installation and troubleshooting in a knowledgable manner. Instead, they proceeded to read the same installation guide we had and could not provide any help on how to install. Kohler is not even able to provide photos of this model installed so we can see how others have installed. 

At this point, based on the lack of help from Kohler themselves and the poor reviews, we are left with returning the bathtub and purchasing one from a different company!

No Installation Guide and Unhelpful Product Support

The first tub arrived chipped and scratched. Kohler promptly replaced it. However the second tub cracked while being installed. This is a poorly made tub. Read the other reviews and save yourself the trouble!

I would not recommend ordering this bathtub or any product from Kohler! I received this bathtub (1121-R-0) on June 28, 2021 with a factory flaw. How does a Kohler bathtub pass through their quality control and leave the factory with an obvious, visible flaw?!? Does Kohler even have a quality control process in place for outgoing products?
  I had a very well laid out plan for my bath and kitchen remodel. The last item that arrived before the demo was to begin was this flawed Kohler bathtub and it was the weak link that brought my remodel to a dead halt, pending replacement. 
Working with the Kitchen/Bathroom supply store where I purchased the tub from, they sent out a “Kohler certified” repair person twice, but the imperfection was still visible after he was done and there was no guarantee that the tile work that I had planned would cover it. Since I am paying a lot of money for a bathroom remodel, a visible imperfection is not acceptable to me and doesn't bode well for the Kohler brand.  On July 14th, I requested a replacement tub.
I had one delay after another getting the bathtub replaced by Kohler. I was first told it was going to be on the production line the first week of August, 2021. My order was to be moved to the front of all the other orders for this tub style. I don’t know who dropped the ball at Kohler, but it was dropped. The tub was finally sent out of the Kohler factory in Texas on August 24th. 
I requested that the delivery be expedited to my home as my remodel was significantly delayed due to this tub and I was at risk of losing my contractor to a job moving in front of mine, plus I was paying for an unused porta-potty that was delivered in anticipation of the remodel for the contractors. 
Kohler used a freight company called YRC and only set up the tub to be sent with standard shipping. It took over 2 weeks to get to the Sacramento delivery port and shortly thereafter to my home. The date of delivery was September 9th.  My project was delayed over 10 weeks due to the visible flaw in this tub and delays in getting it replaced!
