I purchased at Lowes.   Kohler sent me a new seat "no charge" as I could not complete the installation described in Step #5.    I ran into the same problem with the new seat.   I took it to Lowes for assistance; no one could complete step #5; the anchor would NOT fit through the hole as described.    The instructions are WRONG.   I challenge Kohler Quality Control to successfully complete Step #5.    After much frustration, I figured out the solution ---- Fold the anchor at the opposite end and feed up through the hole from the bottom - EASY!    Instructions need to be rewritten.     The seat is not Quiet Close.   Disappointing.
