Kohler K-597 kitchen faucet > This drop-down faucet replaced a (also Kohler) pull-out faucet in our kitchen sink. The smooth contour is very attractive and makes for an easy wipe to clean. The on-off ~ hot-cold lever works VERY smoothly. The main aerated stream is great.  The holes for the sweep spray are too small, resulting in a too forcefull spray that splatters outside the regular-depth sink. Also, the sweep spray flow is fan shaped (along a single line) rather than a preffered round (circular ~  cylindrical) outflow.

We like the angle spray head. Along with the ease of use and the quality of construction.

Terrible. Significantly less hot pressure than cold. Valve body behind cartridge has different sized and shaped ports between the hot and cold.

Terrible design

I had to replace an earlier Kohler Cruette faucet I'd bought and installed 10 years ago, because the spray head hose split and the so-called "quick release" fitting wouldn't release to allow me to replace just the hose.

Since that product line was discontinued, this was the closest thing from a look and functionality perspective.  The good: Kohler fixed the spray hose fitting so now it should actually disconnect if it needs to be replaced.  The bad: the whole thing feels cheaper, the spray head constantly came loose and sprayed everywhere until I finally put a small bead of Loctite on it to keep it in place - it's not an issue with me not being able to tighten it enough, I typically have the problem of overtightening everything.  Also, if the spray head is screwed on tight enough to not leak, the swivel ball doesn't move easily, so it doesn't dock well back in the gooseneck.  None of these were problems with the Cruette model.  Additionally, the water pressure is just a little less than the Cruette.  Finally, despite being apparently more cheaply built than the Cruette, the Simplice cost 66% more.  Does it work?  Yeah - but it definitely feels like a downgrade.

Decent but not as good as what it replaced

I really love the look and functionality of this Kohler faucet — it’s sleek, modern, and the pull-down feature works well for a smaller sink space. However, for the price, I expected better quality. The handle feels quite flimsy and not as sturdy as I would have hoped. It gives the impression that it might not hold up well over time.
If you’re looking for a compact faucet with a pull-down option, it’s a decent buy. But if you value solid, durable construction, this one might leave you a little disappointed.

Stylist Faucet, But Lacking in Sturdiness

For two weeks this sink faucet mostly hit all of our needs - I will note the pull portion is a little too short for our needs. I cant reach both sides of my sink entirely. The biggest drawback is that the push buttons to increase the flow broke (stuck in) after just two weeks. I had to call and get a replacement. It's really disappointing because I purchased from Kohler based on their reputation for having solid products. Worried about the long term lifespan of this product.

I love my new faucet from Kohler..  I was always a Moen fan but the last two faucets I have gotten from them have had issues and lasted only about a year and a half. 
I've never had a Kohler but I was drawn to the attractiveness of this one. It is the sturdiest most easily functioning beautiful faucet I've ever had. 
I do have one issue though..
My plumbing is very tight under my sink and the anchor for the spray nozzle hose has no adjustment on it.. there's no rubber gasket or slide so that it can be adjusted so it keeps hitting my plumbing every time I pull out the hose. 
I've tried to get in touch with Kohler a few times about this. I can't seem to get anyone to help me with it. 
If you're going to have an anchor  that heavy and that large underneath the sink, it needs to be adjustable. 
Not everybody's plumbing is in the same area allowing that hose and anchor to move freely..
I'm just afraid that something's going to happen because it clunks around an awful lot. 
Other than that, it's a gorgeous faucet and easily functional.
I would definitely make this purchase again.
