I am beyond disappointed in this Kohler Stainless Steel sink. Within less than three months of normal household use, the "stainless steel" sink developed severe oxidative staining that cannot be removed by any recommended cleaning method. The Strive Stainless Steel sink stained permanently almost immediately.  

When I contacted Kohler Customer Service about what is obviously a material defect, I was met with blame instead of support.  Kohler's response was that I somehow caused the staining, despite using the sink exactly as intended. No remedy, no accountability, no solution - just a total dismissal.  

I purchased this sink as a high-end replacement during a kitchen remodel. My new countertops were professionally cut for the sink, so replacement is not an easy swap - it's expensive, disruptive, and completely unreasonable to expect after three months of use. Kohler markets its products as high-end, but this recent experience reflects substandard materials, poor quality control, and shockingly bad customer service top to bottom. 

I unfortunately regret this purchase, and would caution anyone considering a Kohler stainless steel sink.

Devastatingly Bad Quality

I recently remodeled my kitchen and I'm happy that I chose an undermount sinks. It gives my kitchen a more modern, luxurious look and a seamless appearance with my new counterop. Installation was somewhat tricky as the countertop had to be cut very precisely. The sink is very high quality and has a scratch-resistant coating but care must still be provided when washing dishes. A grate was included and can be placed at the bottom of the sink in order to prevent dents, dings or scratches. It also serves as a drying rack as it elevates the dishes for easier drainage. The bottom of the sink includes engineered with a subtle slope to assist water into the drain. The single basin was a no-brainer for me as I have a large family and need lots of sink space to wash dishes. I also enjoy the workstation that can be placed atop the sink which provides an drying rack and cutting board and I also found a strainer that fits perfectly. I highly recommend this.

Provides a seamless look with high functionality

It was difficult to finally have someone to come install this sink, since we had to size the countertop and cabinets. We were starting to regret it but in the end it all started to come together. Our builder found rotting so it prolonged our process. But we can tell that the sink is very very durable , heavy, but the stainless steel is definitely different from our previous “stainless steel “ sink. We opened this one up to size the drain since it would not be like the one we previously had. Tour previous sink showed the spots where water would dry , but this one is spotless. I’m starting to think we got ripped off with our previous sink because this one’s quality is just top notch. I started looking at changing our faucets all over the house to this brand. Definitely will continue to invest in this brand’s products, as I have found them to be more reliable. The sink drains well and the space it has is amazing!

Heavy But Quality!

Great product. I love how it cleans and how large it is. It fits everything without splashing back at me because it’s so full. I definitely recommend this sink. I am so happy with it.

Amazing

I recently installed the Strive 35 inch undermount single bowl kitchen sink in stainless steel and I have to say I’m really impressed with it. The size is perfect for my kitchen and having that full single bowl makes such a difference when I’m washing large pots and pans or even just prepping vegetables. I can actually fit my baking sheets flat in the bottom which was impossible with my old double bowl sink.

The stainless steel feels really solid and high quality. It’s heavy duty and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. I was worried about water spots and scratches but it’s held up beautifully so far. The undermount installation looks so clean and modern too. It really opened up my counter space and makes the whole kitchen look more upscale.

One thing I didn’t expect to love as much as I do is how quiet it is. My previous sink was so loud and echoey but this one barely makes a sound when water hits it. I guess it has some kind of sound dampening which is a nice touch.

The drain is positioned towards the back which gives me more usable space in the bowl and my plumber said the quality of all the components was excellent. Installation was straightforward for him and everything fit perfectly.

Overall I’m extremely happy with this purchase. It’s functional, looks great, and feels like it’s going to last for years. Definitely worth the investment if you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen sink.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Great Sink!

The capacity of this sink is amazing.  It is sturdy and easy to clean which makes it a great investment. I like that it can hold multiple pots and pans and is deep enough to fill a stock pot.

Huge deep sink

We absolutely love this sink. We just finished remodeling our entire kitchen, and this sink fits the space perfectly, it truly ties everything together. The design is sleek, modern, and very high-end looking, instantly elevating the overall feel of the kitchen. The deep basin is incredibly practical, making it easy to wash large pots, pans, and baking sheets without splashing. The stainless steel finish feels solid and well-made, and it cleans up beautifully without showing water spots or scratches easily. The included rack is a great bonus and adds both function and can remove if I want to. Overall, this sink is the perfect balance of style and functionality, and we couldn’t be happier with how it looks and performs in our newly remodeled kitchen. Still have work to do but so far very pleased!

Excellent Quality, Spacious, and Perfect for Moder

The sink is very deep and has a large capacity. Great for large pots and pans and does not have a loud echo when washing dishes. Very durable and beautiful finish for our kitchen.

Great item for kitchen upgrades

We have been wanting to remodel our kitchen for some time now so this was such an amazing opportunity to review! The Kohler Strive 35 under king single-bowl kitchen sink in stainless steel is the perfect design for our kitchen. I do a lot of dishwashing so I needed a big sink. It’s easy to clean because of the stainless steel, I just need some bar keeps friend cleaner and a dish towel and all is clean! I highly recommend this sink to anyone for a sleep and modern design. I made our kitchen looks so modern and beautiful.
