Purchased Devonshire shower trim kit to match vanity faucets previously purchased. Very happy with design, look, price, etc.  Shower head delivers great flow of water as compared to Kohler piece that was replaced. Koehler always comes through!!

I came to this site to find a replacement part b/c the plastic interior of the handle cracked only to find multiple reviews with the same issue. Like most I had a contractor install, so it's not the depth, it's the cheap plastic quality that is clearly an issue. I just had to pay more in shipping than the part to get it replaced. From what i've read, they should sell this part in bulk since it breaks frequently. Either that, or actually replace this part with a more durable piece. This was not cheap and it's very disappointing to know this is a known issue.

I bought this through Kohler on Amazon the last week of April this year.  Had it professionally installed and this past weekend we couldnt get the water to quit running.  I tried to contact Kohler, sitting on hold to the point I had to hang up twice.  I got the water to stop, ordered a new cartridge from Amazon (same place where I bought the last one also) replaced it, and can get it to stop but the handle is also the problem.  Now you cannot find the trim kit in Home Depot or Lowes.  Likely due to the reviews of this happening frequently.  So originally I spent $90.49 for the trim + $75.70 for the Valve abd Cartridge kit, now another $51.77 for another cartridge and will also need to get a new trim kit which is over $100 now on your site since no one else sales it.  I am beyond upset at the way this has worked out.  The shower head is great, pressure is great, look is fantastic in my newly remodeled bathroom, but to only last 5 months...... completly ridiculous with regular use and care.  I am now just looking for a whole new trim kit as I do not want to continue to go through this....even more so when its no longer on the shelves to grab.

Quick to break

I’m a plumbing contractor in Florida. Been plumbing for 20 plus years. I can tell you kohler is by far my go to product, especially for shower valves. The way they are designed makes working on them easier than most. (Everything needs to be repaired eventually). I like the Devonshire because of the value and quality. Not sure why other reviews were so bad, probably weren’t install right or lack of use will cause any shower valve to not operate correctly.

This is great looking but it has repeatedly failed us.  Inside the handle assembly there is a plastic part with an aluminum screw that repeatedly slips on the shower valve.  We've had to use pliers to turn on/off the shower, but in doing so have now broken the stem adapter.  Definitely would not recommend.
