The spout didn't last long about 3 months and it stopped the diverting to the shower head, the diverter knob feel very loose.

I bought this shower valve on clearance at my local hardware store and boy did I get screwed. I should have trusted all the bad reviews but based on the brand I figured the quality would be there. I'm using this for an outside shower so when I bought it I was not 100 concerned about install issues online. I need a shower valve with a handle, that's it but I can't even put on the handle. I've installed a bunch of shower, tub and sink faucets over the years and I usually don't even need instructions. This product is garbage in a box. 

There is 5 sets of instructions in the box and only one set shows this actual valve setup. The rest are wrong or some generic garbage that is nothing like the valve/parts in this box. The instructions on this website are not for this valve. In step 10 it says to install the seal plate but there is nothing to install it to and there is nothing remotely close to having the same bolt spacing regardless. The adapter in step 12 is a completely different size spine and it just slides over the valve stem.

I got screwed on this one.
