Main Global Footer Experience Fragment

This set was recently installed in our newly remodeled bathroom. The fixtures are beautiful and are exactly what we wanted. The only issue we are currently having is when running the bath faucet, water is also coming out of the shower head. This is truly disappointing as we just spent a ton of money on remodeling this bathroom and was expecting this part to be easy. I've had another licensed plumber look at it and shared he has had similar issues with this product.

Beautiful But Defective

I had two of these put in a month ago. They look beautiful, but the faucet handles and the way they attach to the plumbing leave a lot to be desired. The thread for attaching the handle will not square up with the plate and the faucet handle at the same time. If you adjust it to line up, it just keeps working it’s way loose and eventually the whole plate is sliding around. It is just really annoying. I am about ready to just go purchase a universal faucet fixture to use with the  Kohler valve we had to install for this fixture to work. Quite disappointed…something cheaper would probably have gone in a lot easier. Oh, well.

I bought this product as I have always trusted Kohler. But first I ran into problems with the $400 drain kit I bought for their tub which required three shipments until I received one with all the parts. Then it came time to install the shower kit. Everything was fine until it came time to install the shower handle and faceplate. The way they designed the faceplate you can not screw in the handle collar enough so it is flush with the faceplate. This leaves a 1/4" gap between the collar and faceplate! Support is sending me a new one but once I looked at the design drawings which Kohler makes available, you can see this is intentional! This looks horrendous! Not only does it look bad, but they don't even extend the finish onto the exposed area! I seriously doubt I will ever be buying anymore Kohler products!
