Elate sliding shower door 5/16" is well made and looks beautiful in our two guest bathrooms. We ordered these doors directly from Kohler retail store in Charleston. The staff is very helpful and generous with pricing. The doors shipped within 2 weeks of order. This is a solid door; no wobbling when open and closing. My husband installed both doors. He needed help getting doors into bathrooms since they are very heavy. Kohler delivered doors into our garage (perhaps they would have delivered inside but we were on vacation at the time). The doors come with detailed instructions and we viewed videos several times before starting. They installed perfectly. A very affordable alternative to custom doors. I strongly suggest buying directly from Kohler rather than box stores that also sells Elate. They are exceptional and assured us they would honor any damage since we were not at home. It's good to know that the doors are made and manufactured in US as well.

Sent incorrect parts in the kit, which paired with poor install instructions to result in putting holes in my tile in the wrong location. I would not recommend

Bad QC and install instructions

We selected the Elate series since it has an attractive frameless appearance. The specs state the entrance can be left or right side but a left side might require an additional gasket shield between the doors. The instructions state the fixed glass should be on the same side as the shower head. We learned this after it arrived. Ours was not so hopefully this will not be an issue. Installation was a bit tedious probably due to the frameless frame design considering lack of vertical channels with open look. Otherwise, we would rate it 5 stars for appearance.

Perfect shower door

This door seems very robust and well built.  It slides very well, quite and firm. The only negative comment is the many manufacturer stickers on the door were hard to get off after it was installed.

Quality of the door is top notch. I gave it only three stars because the installation instructions were essentially useless. They were VERY VAGUE.  It didn't mention where to put supports (as far as top or bottom of vertical support), it didn't mention which way the track should go once installed; among many other things. They were very frustrating to follow for us and our contractor. When 3 people with college degrees, one of which is a contractor for a living and can't figure it out, there's a problem.  We will never purchase another item of this magnitude from Kohler because of this.  Do yourself a favor and get a lower quality door with better instructions. I wish we had.
