We purchased a "used" house.  Three bathrooms; two with tubs.  Installation of HydroRails in all three bathrooms immediately modernized them.  It allowed a new, great Kohler shower head.  It allowed the addition of a hand held shower.  And (even though not recommended by Kohler) it provided a grip to support balance climbing out of the tub. 

Even with misaligned existing plumbing, the installation of the HydroRail was easy.  I installed all three - it requires 1/2" holes be drilled through tile.  Drilling through tile was the only hard part.  The hardware provided was very well designed to secure the Rails to the tile. (I modified by reaching in wall studs/framing with screws to provide strength to allow the rail to serve as a balance grip).  The installation into the existing in-wall plumbing was very well designed and easy.  The different lengths of the HydroRails and the Kohler hose lengths allowed coordination with the existing valves.  This is an exceptional way to upgrade a shower.

An easy and exceptional shower upgrade!

[Employee of kohler] My husband and I love the Hydrorail bath/shower column.  We originally purchased it to easily add a handshower to our existing tub/shower without destroying the wall tile so we could shower our dog.  It turns out we use the handshower for so many more things - to help when cleaning the shower, as just a shower when lowered on the bar it's great on days I don't want to wash my hair (women - you know what I'm talking about!).  It's compact and easy to use while still looking great.  We love it so much, we purchased a second for a little AirBnB we are renovating.  It'll be perfect there too!

A great showering solutions for small spaces.

The option to have a hand shower without an additional diverter or elbow messing up the tiling make this great for all shower installs - new build and retrofit.

Excellent and practical product

[Employee of kohler] We installed this HydroRail ourselves (no plumber!) and upgraded our kids shower from a showerhead to a combination handshower/showerhead.  The kids love the handshower... I can lower it to their level and as they've grown we can raise it up.  When my parents come to visit, they use the showerhead.  We love it so much, we installed one in their house too!  My dad now takes seated showers and appreciates the handshower being lower.
