After returning and receiving 3 of these (I really needed), I have given up. Diverter does not turn off the water flow (leaks through the valve assembly.

Would have rated a zero - does not work

I bought this part in order to be able to shut off water to the handheld shower head.  Original part was installed by a professional plumber and the plumber showed me it did not fully shut off the water.  Kohler sent a replacement part which I installed myself.  Part was shipped already assembled so only needed to perform step 4 of the installation guide.  This replacement part still does not shut off the water.  The second picture is with the button pushed in the off position and water still flowing out. I tried turning it off both before and during water pressure with the same result. Not sure if it is a poor design or not but it is not a good sign that the first two parts fail to do what they are designed to do.
