Started leaking from the base of the showerhead at about 9 months of use

We are on our second shower head of this model number. Not long after each install, the shower started to heavily leak from the selector switch while in use. We contacted Kohler and they were good enough to replace the original with no hassle. Since we received and installed the second shower head, it started to do the same thing...it worked fine initially but not long thereafter started leaking. Contacted Kohler again and inquired about the issue with the second one. They again agreed to replace it --- which I appreciate it. We are concerned that this will be a continuing problem with this model so I asked if they had stats on whether or not this was an issue for a lot of people who purchased this model. They could not tell me if this was a problem.  Was told customer service had no analytics available to them. Providing customer agents with this info might be something Kohler wants to look at so people know if they are buying a line that has a lot of problems. It's one reason I jumped on here to read reviews of this product, but that shouldn't be something I have to spend time researching. That info should be available from Kohler. We still haven't determined if we are going to ask them to send us a new one or if we will switch to another model...or brand.

I am very disappointed with this product.  When it is in the first position of full shower spray, there is a leakage of a steady stream of water through the top of the shower head.

After reading Wirecutter and other reviews, bought this fine showerhead for our new rental home. It is indeed fabulous.

New showerhead great!

Simple upgrade to our older builder grade showerheads. Upgraded in less than two minutes, recommend paste instead of the Teflon tape as leaks occurred despite tightening. The mist / soft setting is marvelous, very impressive. Has been installed for approximately two months, substantial quality. Slightly higher price than at some retailers, but when possible, I purchase direct from manufacturer.
