Sarah S.

We have a new construction home with several Kohler products; we closed the end of April 2021. Within a year, a portion of the handle has corroded and continues to corrode as time goes on (see pictures). Not only does it look terrible, but there is no fix for this. It’s frustrating to say the least, since Kohler promises “premium material construction…durability…resists corrosion and tarnishing”. The handle gets a once or twice weekly wipe down with a disinfecting wipe, and we have very normal, suburban neighborhood water. As other reviews stated, the face place also spins and does not stay in one spot, which looks kind of silly, but I could live with if not for the corroded handle. All in all, not the kind of quality I would expect from Kohler…and we have lived in Wisconsin and used Kohler products all our lives.

Terrible quality after 1 year

Along with the Alteo transfer valve trim we also purchased the entire shower system. This would include the Awaken shower head and hand shower, Kumin grab bar, Alteo Rite-Temp valve trim and transfer valve trim with the valve body and 3-way transfer valve, the Clearflo shower drain and the Katun faucet for the vanity (not pictured). All components look and work great.

Excellent Quality and Design

With sleek, confident curves inspired by nature, the Alteo faucet collection exudes a self-assured simplicity. Designed to deliver exceptional quality at an approachable price, the Alteo collection features fluid design lines that complement a wide range of décor.
