I bought two of these and installed them with no problems.  One of them is working just fine, as I would expect from Kohler.  The other doesn't like to stay open.  When I put the seat up in order to relieve myself in a standing method, the seat drops back down.  It is quiet and slow, but not slow enough.  I end up having to hold it up until I'm done, or give up and sit down.  Frustrating.
