This seat feels too big in proportion to the Kathryn toilet. It's confusing. It's thicker than expected, and the chrome hinges are also huge and really stand out. Overall a disappointment as I ordered this seat specifically because it's supposed to work with the Kathryn toilet, and it looks like a cheap generic seat I purchased on clearance somewhere.

Not as expected

I like the contrast of a black toilet seat on the white toilet. I waited a long time to purchase this seat because I was hoping Kohler would make one with brass hardware. I finally broke down and got the only elongated they offer ,which is chrome..
It bothers me, but, I don’t think those that use the powder room notice. Kohler…… make one in brass!!!! And ….has a quiet close!!!!!!!!

Pricey but pretty

The service I received when I called KOHLER was pretty bad. 
*The very young woman was very nice but untrained. What does that mean?
*It means I bought replacement Kathryn toilet seat because the original seat, which was seldom used, split, thre was little integrity in the material used to make it. 
I ordered a new seat but was met with extremely limited choices.
**I received a seat with chrome hinges. I needed white hinges. 
More work...
Called KOHER an spoke to your very young service gal (who sounded like a high school fill-in) who sent a repair kit that has nothing to with the "Kathryn' toilet. 
**I explained all this to her many times yet she sent an totally WRONG item. as some sort of solution.
**Now I have TWO bad items from KOHLER. 
Now I have to build up emtional fortitude to call KOHLER AGAIN and try to get help.  
***My request was perfectly reasonable and clearly explained . To no avail.
Yet so far this is my KOHLER experience:
**A bad toilet to seat to begin with
**Extremely limited choices for a replacement
**A bad replacement
**An inept 12 year old service rep who dropped the ball (she ever had).

That's how I feel about KOHLER. Not Good. 
You are driving this company towards the bottom of the pile. Good luck keeping market share.

Bad service. Bad product. Just bad all around

Beautiful and sturdy but the finish on the seat wears off or scratches fairly easily. Not sure its worth the money paid.

Finish and price

i was expecting the same toilet seat that came with the original Kathryn - one that has a soft close lid.  Not a fan of this one.  Love Kohler, as all our toilets are Kohler, but was disappointed in the replacement seat.

Excellent shopping experience

The construction and hardware of the seat is good, but quality control of the packing is poor. It had deep marks/flaws on the paint that were very visible. We asked for a replacement and the second one was just as bad.

Poor packaging and quality control.
