Needed to replace 2 toilet seats. Bought these at Costco, On the exact same toilet design: one install went fine the other had the plastic clip snap. Not user error just defective.

broke upon install

Bought three of these seats to replace all the seats on the toilets in my house. After installing all three seats, two of the seats don’t stay up(open) but rather slowly close 🥴. The lids work the way they are supposed to(slowly close). Also one of the seats was missing a rubber bumper. I just need to know how to fix the problem with the seat not staying up and how I can get another bumper because the seat rocks without it.

A little disappointed

I bought three of the Kohler Layne slow close plastic toilet seats, and they seemed great at first. The plastic hinges cracked and broke on the most used seat after just a couple years. Quite disappointing for a Kohler product! Won't buy again.

Seat cracks/breaks after a couple years

Keeps getting unhinged. I almost fell one night from it sliding right off as I sat down. Very poor quality. “East to install” but also uninstalls by itself

Tried to install this and realized when we took it out of box that one of the rubber insert base (under the toilet lift seat) is missing.

Very disappointed to find out once installed that it is only the seat itself that is slow close, NOT the lid!

Seat only slow close NOT lid

Just brought this home from Costco June 12 2022. Installed it and the slow close mechanism wasn't working already. I was replacing a Kohler slow close seat that stopped slow closing after about a year. They were on sale so I thought I'd get a new one. What a waste of time. This is a good example of poor quality control. Kohler at one time meant buying something good. Come on Kohler!

D.O.A. right out of the box.

I live alone and weigh 130 lbs. this thing didn’t last long at all. The seat just fully broke and there is no apparent way to fix it. Bought it off Amazon so I can’t get a replacement.

It's impossible to put in place this bumps. The slow closing system is ok otherwise.

Useless bumps

I also purchased the same Kohler elongated quiet toilet seat, model Layne 30015-0, from Costco.   Great product at a great Costco price.   No scratches or marks of any kind.  Very easy to install.   I wanted to buy two more for my other bathrooms, but Costco was sold out of this peoduct.   Hope Costco carries it again in the future.
