Never again will I purchase a kohler toilet. Both have leak and awful flush.

Never again

Sarah S

While installing I turned the base upside down to attach the wax ring. Noticed a scrap piece of ceramic glazed onto the side of the trap way. Very sharp edges. "Customer Service" said to take it back and exchange it. There goes 4hrs wasted! Who is paying for that?

Major Flaw discovered - No Quality Control

I bought 3 of these. In less than a year the first one started running constantly. I contacted Kohler and they told me they only take care of them for 90 days. After pushing I got them to send me a new fill valve for free as they said it was the issue. They also tried to say the toilet has to be used every few days or it’ll break which is bs. Ive talked to plumbing professionals who concur that was Kohler blowing smoke as an excuse that’s not true. I installed the new fill valve and it’s been fine.

On all the toilets I often have to flush twice to get them to fully flush which isn’t right.

Now 3 yrs in a second toilet has started refilling the tank periodically. I’ve been told it’s potentially 3 different parts but Kohler says it’s the seak and again is telling me to go buy instead of sending. Mind you if I bought it from them it’s about $12 shipped and that’s with them making a profit so good customer service would be to eat the maybe $5 it’d actually cost them. Don’t waste your money on a junk toilet that even Kohler won’t stand by.

Don’t Waste Your Money

The toilet is fine flush is strong maybe a little short with no lingering waste. Never a fan of the 1.28 but this works pretty good. Yes I have done plumbing most of my life

When this toilet clogs it is almost impossible to plunge it. I hate it!

Clogs less often than my previous toilet, but...

I bought this toilet a few months ago and I have been unhappy with the design. It doesn't flush as completely and cleanly as the old design which I also have; it leaves solid waste stains each time unlike the old design. The idea of using less water is a good one but please improve the design further to ensure the toilet stays clean after each solid waste flush. I'm so unhappy with it and wish I could return it for a refund.

New design is worse than old design

I purchased 2 Kohler Elmwood toilets from Home Depot. I had a friend (professional plumber) install them. First one fit and function great. However the second one started leaking (very small) at the bottom of the tank. Additionally the tank cover did not sit flush with the tank. It rocked back and forth on the left side. I switched the other tank top and it stayed flush but again rocked back and forth on the other toilet. I went to Home Depot and exchanged the leaking toilet with another Elmwood toilet. Once installed it functioned perfectly with no leaks. However the new tank cover still did not sit flush and this one rocked back and forth on the right side? I switched the new tank cover with the other and it stayed flushed. Strange to see that 2 toilet tank covers didn’t sit flush to the tank? Nevertheless both toilets are operating and functioning great.

Great Toilet

Bought and installed one on Thursday it worked so well and looked so good went back and bought another on Friday and installed in powder room on Saturday. Both were easy to install and work great, And cant beat the price for the quality of this toilet!

very stylish,

Needed a toilet that I could get on and off of and would not get easily stopped up. Since I purchased it I have not had a problem with stoppages/plugging. The only reason I'm giving a four star instead of five is I just recently found that Kohler has a 19" High seat; using their website to find this did not work and I found the higher height by accident when reviewing ratings of the toilet and someone mentioned they did not like the Comfort Height (Not high enough) and Kohler came back and mentioned the K-25224-0 model. Tried to find the model number; it was not easy......
