The best toilet ever made

We have a much older version of this toilet that has served us well for many years without issue. I want to upgrade because this is a beautiful toilet and very unique. However, why does it only come in white? I am so bummed. I definitely need ice grey. It is such a distinctive toilet, and it really should come in the full range of colors. The 1.0 version would be too loud for a home.  The San Souci is too narrow for larger bathrooms, so even though it looks similar, it's really not a good substitute.

I purchased this toilet back in January 2022 from Golden West Pipe Supply in Downey, Ca. As a 20-plus-year owner of many San Raphael toilets, I made it a point to purchase a new one for my bathroom remodels. I found out that all the new models come with this new canister design. All of my older San Raphaels only had the red flap and they work great to this day. I'm really pleased with the sleek design and power of the flush but for some reason, my toilet tank takes over 3 mins to refill. Is this normal? Also, I cannot identify the water line inside the tank as I have 3 lines. So which is the correct line?

I loved the look of this when I bought it for my master so I was ok with the high price. Unfortunately it’s only been installed for 18 months and after 2 plumber visits, I’m being told it needs to be replaced. I’m not happy at all. I really don’t want to buy another one of these, but I need to figure out another toilet that’s going to fit the same footprint in the tile.

It looked good but it is a mission to install. I finally installed it and the seat is another nightmare to install. Why you have to make something so expensive and so difficult.

As others have mentioned, maintenance is a nightmare on these things! Trying to replace the seat and the bolts have corroded and are completely stuck and now I'm super frustrated because it seems like there are truly no options here besides just getting a whole new toilet. I called Kohler support and they told me to "use a screwdriver".. Umm that isnt helpful when the bolts are corroded and won't move and also they are flathead screws so yeah.. support was not helpful at all. Just wanted to warn other potential buyers.

Maintenance Nightmare!

Our San Raphael is a nightmare.  The flush valve gasket leaked from the day I replaced it, causing toilet to run.  The fill valve sticks frequently causing tank to not refill.  Embarrassing as toilet is a powder room for guests.  The worst part is that it doesn't flush well at all compared to one of our much less expensive Kohler toilets.  I am close to giving up and replacing it with another brand as Kohler parts for this toilet don't cut it.

Toilet Runs Even After Replacing Valve Too Complicated to Fix - Giving Up

I’ve had this installed for over 15 years and have never had a problem! I only gave four stars due to the challenges when replacing the threaded inserts for the seat. (That’s a pain in any skirted toilet. I suggest not change the awesome seat that comes with it.)

So the toilets in our home are at the oldest three years old. Every single one of them leaks constantly now. After reading reviews I've decided to just replace them all rather than deal with them not working after replacing parts. This is unacceptable.
