I bought 5 of these to replace toilets in my newly built home. I like the skirted look and performance of toilet, however the full valve is starting to fail on 3 of the most used toilets after just 3 years of normal usage. After a flush, the float gets stuck and doesn't go down enough for the valve to start filling water. Tried several troubleshooting steps including cleaning the valve. It works for a while then problem returns 

I am now ordering replacement parts. I didn't have such issues with my old Kohler toilets.

Fill Valve Fails after 3 Years

I bought three K-45927 to update our new 2002-build house. Concept of smooth side toilet was appealing in order to improve cleanability. Not really sure about the new installation scheme, if it really saves time (it does give peace of mind thet the ring and assembly are correct). However, of the three, the first one is a little loose with the bolts already bottomed out, and the second, the cam assembly was defective and didn't include a nut in it. I used one from the third toilet and awaiting replacement part to complete the install. Not what I expected from a $1000 purchase.

Great toilet, overly-complicated 'design' to complete install

We purchased a Kohler Valiant elongated toilet several weeks ago. We finally had the plumber in to change out our old toilet for the new one, and when we opend the box to take everything out...the tank is not in the box!  We will now have to pay for a second house call for installation when/if we finally get the tank for this unit! Super disappointing.

Missing tank!

I just purchase this and installed it at my house. When I was almost done I notice the Kohler 1213082 Bushing- Spherical missing. I have been trying to find the part so I don’t have to take the toilet apart to return it to Home Depot but not lock and when I call Kohler 1800 I recording told me they where too busy to answer my call. Frustrating

I would rate the toilet itself a bit higher but we can't even use as it is partially installed.  The two screws that secure the toilet to the trap way are too long (4.5 inches) and with only half of the shaft threaded it "bottoms out" and runs out of threads before securing the toilet and I can pull the screw out about an inch.  I have contacted customer service and they were helpful, placed an order for the correct screws (2.25 inches) to be shipped same day or next day to arrive over night.  Two days later I haven't received any shipping notice so I contacted costumer support again and the order shows in process.  The issue was escalated to a team that is supposed to expedite the process.  Was told the warehouse is behind for some reason.  I sure hope the parts get shipped soon.  We are not able to use the toilet because it moves.  Otherwise we love the look, the height, size and efficiency.  Will update once we get the install complete.  Seems like the QA process failed us this time.  Also I assumed there would be some way to expedite replacement parts in situations like this.

The Quality Assurance for included hardware is lacking

The instructions would have you install the tank before placing the toilet onto the flange. This is not needed as it makes the thing too heavy for one person to maneuver into position. The tank installs easily after placement. The directions are not up to the task and the placement on the flange adapter is tricky. The key is to look through the holes in the sides to find the correct placement. I lowered it and spent ten minutes thinking it was never going to fit.

It flushes in one shot with a forceful flow. It refills very quickly and quietly. I recommend this highly if you are looking for a better than average water closet.

Smart design, efficient and easy to keep clean

This toilet has all Kohler’s latest technology- Revolution 360 flush system to clean bowl completely, AquaPistons to create a more powerful flush, Clean Coat to decrease water stains in the bowl, Quiet Close lid to prevent it from slamming down, and Ready Lock installation system that allowed my husband to install this toilet in under an hour! I should say my husband is handy and has installed a toilet before. The box contained everything he needed to complete the install except the supply line. The skirted toilet looks sleek and modern, but the best part is how easy it is to clean the outside. So much easier than being on my hands and knees dusting around the pipe outlines on the old style toilets! As a mom of two who does the majority of the cleaning in the house, that’s a game changer! Plus the 360 flush means the bowl stays cleaner longer! This is great for a family, for a modern household, and for anyone who wants to spend less time cleaning their bathroom!

The best of Kohler in one package

Looks very expensive and EASY to clean! Very excited to show it off to my family visiting next week. The sleek design on the sides is AMAZING, no more hard to reach places to clean. Two thumbs up, extremely pleased

BEAUTIFUL!!

We love our new Kohler Valiant EB 2PC Toliet! It was great that everything we needed to install it was right in the box ready to go. Once installed the chair height is perfect and between that and the elongated bowl we are finding it is easier for young boys to use this toilet without making a mess with is a HUGE bonus score for mom. The flushing system on the Valiant works awesome. The water comes in at an angle so it swirls around the bowl and we have not had any issues with the toilet getting plugged even though it uses less water. We would highly recommend the Valiant for anyone looking for a great working toilet. We like the look of the of the Valiant, it's photo on the box showed it in a contemporary setting but it fits well with our country home. One word of caution, make sure to measure where you water supply pipe is located if it comes up through the floor before you bring this toilet home. The Valiant has a slightly larger base than a standard toilet. Our water supply pipe was a quarter of an inch two close to the base and had to be moved which made a 45 minute installation into a full day process. This toilet comes with a sleeveless wax ring which concerned us at first but we went with it and installed it and it was fine. If you are used to using a sleeved wax ring don't worry and use the sleeveless one that comes with it.  - We recieved this product in exchange for an honest review.
