Get Ready!

You are leaving KOHLER.com.

The part itself is fine. My issue is an extension to the mixing cap was also needed, who knew that was even available? It took me weeks to ‘discover’ the parts I really needed. It seems to me the Kohler website should have more complete information about other items that might be needed.

Kind of solved my problem, but was only part of the solution

Instructions not very clear but installation was easy. It helps since I have replaced these before. Better markings on valve to indicate hot and cold would be beneficial.

Easy install

Not a plumber. Super easy to install. Ensure you have a valve that will work.

Easy To Install.

Mixer Cap Sp Kit, Retro - Great invention that allowed us to upgrade our shower to the newest Kohler shower trim without having to open the wall to replace the original control behind the wall!!

Great Invention to Easily Upgrade your Kohler Shower Trim

My customer wanted to update their shower with a new trim but not damage walls with replacing the valve body. This retrofit adapter was the perfect solution to accomplish the upgrade.

Shower valve trim upgrade

It was fairly easy to swap out the component, and once I figured out exactly what I needed, it was a cinch. Considering you all are seemingly boxed out of home improvement centers (in Chicago at least), it seems to me that you're missing out on a crucial and profitable segments of your business that you need to engage in other ways (DIY and Multifamily). Seriously, swapping out a Delta/Moen assemblies for young homeowners is daunting. Yours was incredibly simple, and the handle itself looks elegant, so your engineers did a great job. Now your marketing team has to do a better job of putting that message out there and your sales team has to work on getting more penetration into DIY spaces. If you guys can't find anyone to get you outta the trenches, let me know. I've already launched two national programs on the brink. I'll make Koehler the 3rd!

Product works great, DIY business model needs work

Fit like a glove. Very easy to install. Instructions were clear.

updated shower control

The K-304 Adapter allows homeowners to upgrade an installed K-304 Rite-Temp valve (1985-2015) to the current K-8304 platform without replacing the valve body behind the wall. By replacing the existing GP77759 mixer cap with the 1307346 mixer cap, the valve becomes compatible with current Kohler Rite-Temp trim, providing a simple and cost-effective modernization solution.
