The parts did not work. It was a superceded part from what I used last time. This one did not fit or work. I'm still leaking. I'm not happy.

Balancing Valve

GP800820 is supposed to replace GP500520 . But GP500520 has large thick flat washers where the new thin O-rings are shown in this photo. (See attached photos below.) When used with mix valve GP71969, adapter plate kit 30320 is required. That kit comes with the necessary thick flat washers. (It's possible the other mix valves shown in the GP800820 instructions have the same leak problem.)
(If Kohler provided the thick flat washers with GP800820, all the negative reviews about leaks and having to use after market parts for GP500520 would stop.)

If you have mix valve GP71969, you need new adapter kit 30320.

Still has a very slight water leak.  Although valve was cleaned and unit installed according to instructions the very slight water leak continues.  Not sure what the next course of action needs to be.

Easy to install, but unit is continuing to drip water.

the cartridge, which was purchased from Kohler, would not fit in the valve body.

Apparently this is a know issue with several YouTube videos documenting the problem.  I had to call a plumber who was aware of the problem (also via YouTube).  The plumber had a valve on his truck - which fit.  But I had to pay the plumber

This is easy to install and works great! My husband and I not handy at all.. in fact we just moved to a new house and the shower water stopped working right after we moved in... We watched some youtube videos and voila it works!

It fixed the problem of not having cold water in my shower!

Sent photo of part needed to Kohler customer service but recommended wrong parts twice. I want to return the part and want customer service to give me correct part number
