I HAVE ORDERED SEVERAL ITEMS FROM KOHLER.COM AND HAVE HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS THE TRADE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL.  SHIPPING AND HANDLING WAS SUPER FAST, AS I NEEDED THE ITEMS SOONER THAN LATER.  WILL RECOMMEND TO ALL MY AND FRIENDS.

THERMOSTATIC VALVE

The good news, it works.  The bad news,  it is way overpriced.  
It was very difficult to remove the old one.  Installing the replacement was not too bad.  
The drawing is not accurate.  The large "O" ring is shown out of place.   
Finally the detent can be installed backwards which fits, but renders the valve inoperable.  I learned this the hard way.

Over priced but no other choice

I ordered the replacement thermostatic value cartridge, price $150 from the Kohler site. The customer service group is excellent, very helpful in getting the right product. It seems that Kohler keeps changing the product numbers so you really have to call to make sure you get the correct part. I was able to get the new cartridge installed, but it did take several hours of trying, rereading the very brief instructions. They use terms in the instructions for the different parts but don't have a picture to show you what parts each of the terms refer to. In my opinion, they are writing these instructions for contractors who install these replacement parts all the time and not for the average consumer. However, when I did run into problems, I called the customer service group and sent photos to them and eventually I was able to replace my leaking thermostatic value cartridge and start using my shower again.
